About Xiangtan

Xiangtan is a prefecture-level city in central Hunan Province, situated along the middle reaches of the Xiang River and serving as a core city of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan metropolitan cluster. Known as the "Lotus City" for its vast lotus ponds, Xiangtan is renowned for its deep cultural roots, picturesque riverine landscape, and pivotal role in modern Chinese history.
